​El crítico de arte mexicano Miguel Ángel Muñoz al referirse al artista manifestó que “la pintura de Avilés se ha convertido en arte grande” El Centro Cultural de las Telecomunicaciones “Ing. Álvaro Nadal” del Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (CCT-Indotel), anunció la exposición “Memorias de la Libélula” del artista dominicano Elvis Avilés, que se inaugurará a las 7:30 de la noche del próximo 31 de marzo en la sede de la entidad museográfica.

La presentación de la majestuosa muestra se llevará a cabo en la sala de exposiciones del CCT y estará encabezada por el encargado de esta institución, licenciado Basilio Belliard.

Belliard explicó que la actividad forma parte del programa que realiza el CCT-Indotel con la finalidad promover el arte y la cultura dominicanos en todas sus manifestaciones, siendo esta la base del desarrollo de la sociedad.

El poeta y crítico de arte mexicano Miguel Ángel Muñoz al referirse al artista de Memorias de la Libélula, manifestó: “La pintura de Avilés se ha convertido en arte grande a lo largo de treinta años de actividad constante, de exigencia formalizadora sobre aquellos estímulos primigenios que sin duda habían de deslumbrar su mirada infantil.”

Avilés nació el 18 de agosto de 1964 y comenzó sus estudios pictóricos en 1978 en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes. Trabaja en los talleres A. Bassy P. Céspedes en los cuales se especializó en las técnicas de Hiperrealismo.

El catálogo de este artista cuenta con 24 exposiciones individuales y 21 muestras colectivas, con una trayectoria que data del año 1985 cuando realizó su primera exposición titulada “Percepción visual”.

Esta actividad se realizará de manera abierta y gratuita al público en el Centro Cultural de las Telecomunicaciones, ubicado en la calle Isabel la Católica, esq. Emiliano Tejeda, Ciudad Colonial, en horario de martes a sábado de 9:00 a m / 4:00 pm.
