Baní: obras de Pablo Picasso serán expuestas en Centro Cultural Perelló.

En el marco de los eventos de celebración de los más de quinientos años de relaciones históricas y culturales entre República Dominicana y España, el Centro Cultural Perelló, institución privada sin fines de lucro, recibirá una exposición de dos colecciones de arte de la autoría del afamado artista plástico español Pablo Picasso.
La Sala Principal de Exposiciones del CCP, ubicado en Baní, exhibirá los 29 grabados que forman parte de las colecciones La Flauta Doble y El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz, que estará disponible desde su inauguración el 18 de octubre de 2018, hasta su clausura el 18 de enero de 2019.
En una reciente declaración de prensa, la directora del Centro Cultural Perelló, artista plástica Julia Castillo, invitó al público en general al acto inaugural el jueves 18 de octubre de 2018, a partir de las 6:00 p.m., donde estarán presentes el Embajador de España, Alejandro Abellán García; el director del Centro Cultural de España, Juan Sánchez, entre otras personalidades.

Con el eslogan La Cultura Une, la Embajada de España en Santo Domingo y el Centro Cultural de España en Santo Domingo anuncian el inicio de las actividades de las Semanas de España en República Dominicana, un ciclo de eventos que persiguen acercar el entendimiento cultural entre España y esta nación caribeña.
Picasso en Baní. Según la información ofrecida por las instituciones organizadoras, las obras fueron creadas en momentos muy distintos, pero editadas de forma simultánea. Explican que en El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz Picasso mostró el conocimiento de las técnicas pictóricas del grupo de André Breton; mientras que La Flauta Doble está compuesta por dibujos y acuarelas hechos en grabado autorizado. Ambas colecciones han sido cedidas por la Obra Cultural de FUNIBER.
