El Centro Cultural Banreservas dejó abierta la exposición “Guillo Pérez Centenario.
Obras de la colección Portela Bisonó”, selección de obras del maestro de la pintura dominicana, uno de los principales referentes de las artes visuales en nuestro país.
La muestra se extiende hasta 21 de enero del 2024 y está compuesta por 25 obras que ayudan a comprender el recorrido artístico de este maestro, a través de su temática, tenía y devoción por el color, que se expresa sin reparos en algunas marinas y la representación de sus ya conocidos gallos, donde la paleta del artista de Moca explota en variedad.
La exhibición, co auspiciado por Seguros Banreservas, cierra este año 2023 el programa de exposiciones del Centro Cultural Banreservas, que este año ha ido desde el arte contemporáneo hasta un diálogo con los grandes maestros de la pintura dominicana, entre ellos Guillo Pérez.
El curador de “Guillo Pérez Centenario. Obras de la Colección Portela Bisonó” es Amable López Meléndez, gran conocedor de la obra de este artista y, además, de la Colección de Juan Portela, a su vez uno de los coleccionistas dominicanos más apasionados con la obra de Guillo Pérez.

El maestro Guillo Pérez (1923-2014) realizó más de 70 exposiciones individuales, tanto en el país como en el extranjero, además de que se destacó al participar en colectivas junto a otros artistas, como sus amigos Elsa Núñez, Ramón Oviedo y Cándido Bidó.
Como parte de la exposiciónn “Guillo Pérez Centenario. Obras de la Colección Portela Bisonó”, se ha anunciado un programa de conversatorios, talleres y visitas guiadas, sobre la obra del reconocido artista, destinados a estudiantes de arte, artistas y público interesado.

The Banreservas Cultural Center left open the exhibition “Guillo Pérez Centenario. Works from the Portela Bisonó collection”, selection of works by the master of Dominican painting, one of the main references of the visual arts in our country.
The exhibition extends until January 21, 2024 and is composed of 25 works that help to understand the artistic journey of this master, through his theme, his passion and devotion to color, which is expressed without hesitation in some seascapes and the representation of his already well-known roosters, where the palette of the artist from Moca explodes in variety.
The exhibition, co-sponsored by Seguros Banreservas, closes the exhibition program of the Banreservas Cultural Center in 2023, which this year has ranged from contemporary art to a dialogue with the great masters of Dominican painting, including Guillo Pérez.
The curator of “Guillo Pérez Centenario. Works from the Portela Bisonó Collection” is Amable López Meléndez, a great connoisseur of the work of this artist and, also, of the Juan Portela Collection, in turn one of the most passionate Dominican collectors of the work of Guillo Pérez.
