Un grato placer contar con su presencia
en esta noche tan especial.
Un respetuoso saludo al Instituto Santa Rosa de Santo Domingo, y a María de Jesus por mostrarnos el camino de hacer un poco mas. Pero, sobre todo, a aquellos que sin querer no han podido escucharnos, y nosotros consientes nos extendemos en un intento de hacerlo mejor.
En un esfuerzo por mantener una filosofía de pensamiento creativo en las artes, lo social, lo educativo, hemos decidido aportar, al tiempo de reinventar lo que en una vez fuera "La Galería Umbrales del Arte". Hoy, con la presencia de amigos que serán claves para el desarrollo y proyección de esta nueva entidad, nos hacemos acompañar de personalidades que también coinciden con esta misma línea de pensamiento o propósito de hacer un país mejor; como lo es la Sra. María Elena Ditren, Directora del Museo de Arte Moderno, el señor Mario Martínez, gran coleccionista de arte, el gran artista de la plástica, Rafael Alba, nuestro querido amigo Cesar Miguel, presidente actual de los Amigos del Museo (MAM); y naturalmente, a nuestro Sub Director de la Fundación, el señor Ángel Ricardo Rivera, mano creativa e importante compañero.
Todo esto, sumado al bagaje histórico de nuestra "Revista Artes", la cual dirigimos por mas de 11 años, nos dictan los nuevos cambios que pensamos realizar ahora, en Ossaye Casa de Arte, como una Fundación que se inserta con los mismos propósitos positivos de hacer arte y servir a la cultura para hacer un país mejor.
En esta entrega tenemos la participación de mi artista predilecto – y pienso con ternura el gran artista y ser humano que fue mi padre, Roberto Ossaye– que aun hoy después de 61 años de partida, continua ofreciendonos un magnifico aporte cultural en los diferentes rincones del mundo y se hace presente y solidario a través de mi persona con la “Carpeta de Arte, Roberto Ossaye” que consiste en un portafolio de tres reproducciones en serie limitada. Esto, aunado al maravilloso esfuerzo que nuestra gran amiga, María Jesús Pérez de Mansfield, colaboradora y Directora del Instituto de Ayuda al Sordo, Santa Rosa Inc. Santo Domingo.
Nos complace saber que parte de estos fondos serán destinados para un proyecto educativo, que consistirá en ofertar programas de talleres de pintura artística, diseño grafico y temas relacionados con las artes plásticas.
Después de haber conocido el gran esfuerzo y manejo de los profesores de dicha institución, en una velada que presencie el pasado Diciembre, es para nosotros mas que un honor hacer realidad que Ossaye Casa de Arte, apoye con su cariño y esfuerzo a esta obra singular.
Ahora los dejamos con el señor Cesar Miguel, quien tendrá unas breves palabras para edificar los propósitos de nuestra Fundación, y luego escucharemos las palabras de Maria Jesus Perez de Mansfield.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, friends and relatives.
A great pleasure to see you there in this special night.
A respectful greeting to Santa Rosa Institute of Santo Domingo and Maria de Jesus for showing us the way to do a little more. But above all, those who inadvertently not been able to listen, and we aware we reach out in an attempt to make it better.
In an effort to maintain a philosophy of creative thinking in the arts, social, educational, we have decided to contribute, while in reinventing what once was "The Art Gallery Thresholds". Today, with the presence of friends who will be key to the development and projection of this new entity, we get accompanied by personalities who also coincide with this line of thought or purpose of making a better country; as is Mrs. Maria Elena Ditren, Director of the Museum of Modern Art, Mr. Mario Martinez, a great collector of art, the great artist of plastic, Rafael Alba, our dear friend Cesar Miguel, current president of the Friends of the Museum (MAM); and naturally, our Deputy Director of the Foundation, Mr. Angel Ricardo Rivera, creative hand and important partner.
All this, coupled with the historical baggage of our "Revista Arts" which went for more than 11 years, we dictate the new changes we make now, in Ossaye House of Art, as a foundation that is inserted with the same positive purposes to make art and culture serve to make a better country.
In this issue we have the participation of my favorite artist - and I tenderly great artist and human being who was my father, Roberto Ossaye- that even today after 61 years of departure, continues to offer a magnificent cultural contribution in the different corners of world and is present and supportive through my person "Art Binder, Roberto Ossaye" consisting of a portfolio of three reproductions in limited series. This, coupled with the wonderful effort that our great friend, Maria Jesus Perez of Mansfield, partner and Director of the Institute for the Deaf, Inc. Santa Rosa Santo Domingo.
We are pleased that part of these funds will be used for an educational project, which will consist of programs offer workshops artistic painting, graphic design and topics related to the arts. Having known the great effort and management of teachers of the institution, in an evening that witness last December, is for us more than an honor to realize that Ossaye Art House, support with your love and effort to this work singular .
