Durante una rueda de presa Ossaye Casa de Arte (Oca) Fundación de Arte Contemporáneo anunció la realización de la exposición itinerante “Ojalá que llueva ”, la sombrilla como objeto de arte, que cuenta con la participación de 42 artistas plásticos nacionales. La muestra, que fue exhibida el pasado mes de diciembre en Resort Club de Punta Cana, será presentada de manera formal el martes 13 de febrero en en el Showrrom de Autozama / Mercedes Benz de la avenida Winston Churchill.
La directora de la fundación, María del Carmen Ossaye, quien encabezó la actividad, señaló que esta exposición es un proyecto de arte contemporáneo que se enmarca dentro de los objetivos de esa entidad de ser una ventana abierta al rescate, disfrute y proyección del arte dominicano y caribeño, en beneficio de todos los sectores de la sociedad.
“En este sentido, queremos poner en relieve el gran apoyo y aporte de las firmas que han contribuido para hacer hacer realidad este evento. Asimismo, destacar el gran esfuerzo y colaboración de los artistas participantes que han conceptualizado e intervenido las sombrillas, convirtiéndolas en mucho más que un objeto, transformándolas en verdaderas obras de arte”, señaló Ossaye.
De su lado, Ángel Rivera, subdirector de la referida entidad, tuvo a a su cargo introducir el texto crítico sobre la sombrilla con la introducción del texto crítico sobre la sombrilla y sus antecedentes , donde explicó el desarrollo histórico de la misma, donde resaltó que: “Es la actitud mental del espectador, al ver un objeto dentro de un espacio diferente, que lo desconecta de las cualidades utilitarias, logrando ver nuevas cualidades estéticas del mismo objeto”.
Agregó que este concepto de descontextualización y resematización es precisamente lo que le adjudica un nuevo valor estético al resultado obtenido por los 42 artistas en esta exhibición.“Ojalá que llueva café, la sombrilla como objeto de arte” es una actividad pro fondos para la Fundación Ossaye Casa de Arte (Oca) y estará abierta al público hasta el 28 de febrero, en horario de 10:00 de la mañana hasta las 8:00 de la noche.

The director of the foundation, Maria del Carmen Ossaye, who led the activity, said that this exhibition is a contemporary art project that is part of the objectives of that entity to be a window open to the rescue, enjoyment and projection of Dominican art. and Caribbean, for the benefit of all sectors of society.
"In this sense, we want to highlight the great support and contribution of the companies that have contributed to make this event a reality. Also, highlight the great effort and collaboration of participating artists who have conceptualized and intervened the umbrellas, making them much more than an object, transforming them into true works of art, "said Ossaye.
On his side, Angel Rivera, deputy director of the aforementioned entity, had the responsibility to introduce the critical text on the umbrella with the introduction of the critical text on the umbrella and its background, where he explained the historical development of it, where he stressed that: "It is the mental attitude of the viewer, seeing an object within a different space, which disconnects it from the utilitarian qualities, managing to see new aesthetic qualities of the same object".
