Por sexto año consecutivo la Fundación de Arte Arawak realizará el VI Festival de Dibujo, un evento cultural que se ha consolidado como el festival de arte más importante del país y el de mayor relevancia en su género en la región del Caribe. Este proyecto forma parte de las actividades que desarrolla la Fundación de Arte Arawak desde el año 1998 con el propósito de fomentar y valorizar el dibujo como el medio de expresión artístico de mayor riqueza visual. En esta sexta edición cuenta con la participación de 62 expositores de diferentes generaciones, maestros consagrados, así como como jóvenes emergentes, quienes exhibirán unos 450 dibujos en diferentes estilos y técnicas, donde el público podrá apreciar gran diversidad de estilos y temas: Paisajes, retratos, abstracciones, entre otros. Se presentará como exhibición especial: “Las Marolas de Danilo”, una selección de dibujos del artista, crítico e historiador Danilo De los Santos, procedente de una colección privada, a quien el Festival le rendirá tributo por su dedicación al dibujo, así como por su importante trayectoria en el mundo del arte. Se exhibirán dibujos de artistas de importante trayectoria que han dedicado gran parte de su ejercicio plástico al dibujo, entre ellos: Ramon Oviedo, José Gausachs, José Ramírez Conde, Clara Ledesma, Amable Sterling, José Cestero, José Perdomo, entre otros. Durante el evento los visitantes podrán disfrutar de un programa didáctico y de entretenimiento para la familia que incluye realización de dibujos en vivo, talleres, charlas y diálogos con los artistas participantes, libres de costo. El Comité Organizador del Festival de Dibujo invita al público en general, niños, adolescentes y adultos, a visitar esta magna exhibición de dibujos, compartir con los artistas expositores y participar durante una semana de actividades novedosas y divertidas desde el lunes 8 al domingo 14 de octubre en horario de 11 am a 8 pm. For the sixth consecutive year, the Arawak Art Foundation will hold the VI Drawing Festival, a cultural event that has become the most important art festival in the country and the most important one of its kind in the Caribbean region. This project is part of the activities developed by the Arawak Art Foundation since 1998 with the purpose of promoting and enhancing drawing as the means of artistic expression of greater visual richness. In this sixth edition, it has the participation of 62 exhibitors from different generations, established masters, as well as young emerging artists, who will exhibit some 450 drawings in different styles and techniques, where the audience will appreciate a great diversity of styles and themes: Landscapes, portraits , abstractions, among others. It will be presented as a special exhibition: "Las Marolas de Danilo", a selection of drawings by the artist, critic and historian Danilo De los Santos, from a private collection, to whom the Festival will pay tribute for his dedication to drawing, as well as for his important career in the art world. There will be exhibited drawings by artists of important trajectory who have devoted much of their plastic exercise to drawing, among them: Ramon Oviedo, José Gausachs, José Ramírez Conde, Clara Ledesma, Amable Sterling, José Cestero, José Perdomo, among others. During the event, visitors can enjoy a didactic and entertainment program for the family that includes live drawings, workshops, talks and dialogues with participating artists, free of charge. The Organizing Committee of the Drawing Festival invites the general public, children, adolescents and adults, to visit this great exhibition of drawings, share with exhibiting artists and participate for a week of novel activities and fun from Monday 8 to Sunday October 14 from 11 am to 8 pm.
