Reapertura del Pavillon Comtesse de Exposición Caen con los Premios Artísticos 2020 en Pintura Ganadores de la Fundación Simone y Cino Del Duca.
Creada en 1975 y presidida por Simone Del Duca, corresponsal de la Academia de Bellas Artes hasta su muerte en 2004, la Fundación Simone y Cino Del Duca se encuentra en el Institut de France desde 2005. Simone Del Duca le ha confiado al Instituto tarea de continuar su trabajo en Francia y en el extranjero en el campo de las artes, las letras y las ciencias mediante subvenciones, premios y ayudas que se otorgan cada año a propuesta de las cinco academias. Entre los muchos premios de la Fundación, el Gran Premio Artístico, dotado con 100.000 €, se otorga cada año a propuesta de la Academia de Bellas Artes, alternativamente a un compositor, un escultor y, como en 2020, un pintor.
En vista de las circunstancias excepcionales actuales, la dotación del Gran Premio de Pintura se ha dividido, a propuesta de la Academia de Bellas Artes, en cuatro premios de € 25,000 en beneficio de los artistas inicialmente nominados como finalistas por la sección de Pintura. de una primera selección de unos treinta nombres. Los ganadores de estos cuatro premios son: Guillaume Bresson, Damien Deroubaix, Pierre Monestier y Tursic & Mille. Por primera vez, la sección de pintura de la Academia deseaba exhibir las obras de los galardonados.
Pierre Monestier
Nacido en 1963 en Saint-Quentin en Aisne, Pierre Monestier vive en Nesle en Somme y luego en Brunoy en Essonne. Llegó a París en 1971. Practica dibujar más que cualquier otra actividad. En 1982, ingresó en la Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris en el estudio de dibujo de Férit Iscan, del que se graduó en 1985. De 1985 a 1998, abandonó gradualmente la pintura figurativa y comenzó a pintar al óleo en formatos medios, influenciado por expresionismo abstracto y otros movimientos informales. Durante este período y hasta 2003, ejerció varios oficios en la renovación y decoración de apartamentos, arquitectura de interiores, escenarios de cine, copia y enseñanza de dibujo.
Celebrating Pierre Monestier Artistic Award from the Prestigious Simone et Cino Del Duca Foundation
Created in 1975 and chaired by Simone Del Duca, correspondent of the Academy of Fine Arts until her death in 2004, the Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation has been housed at the Institut de France since 2005. Simone Del Duca has entrusted the Institute with the task of continuing her work in France and abroad in the field of the arts, letters and sciences by means of grants, prizes and aid awarded each year on the proposal of the five academies. Among the Foundation's many prizes, the Artistic Grand Prize, endowed with €100,000, is awarded each year on the proposal of the Academy of Fine Arts, alternately to a composer, a sculptor and, as in 2020, a painter.
In view of the current exceptional circumstances, the endowment of the Grand Prix in Painting has been divided, on the proposal of the Academy of Fine Arts, into four prizes of €25,000 for the benefit of the artists initially nominated as finalists by the Painting section from a first selection of some thirty names. The winners of these four prizes are: Guillaume Bresson, Damien Deroubaix, Pierre Monestier and Tursic & Mille. For the first time, the painting section of the Academy wished to exhibit the works of the laureates.
Pierre Monestier
Born in 1963 in Saint-Quentin in the Aisne, Pierre Monestier lives in Nesle in the Somme and then in Brunoy in Essonne. He arrived in Paris in 1971. He practices drawing more than any other activity. In 1982, he entered the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in Férit Iscan's drawing studio, from which he graduated in 1985. From 1985 to 1998, he gradually abandoned figurative painting and began to paint in oil on medium formats, influenced by abstract expressionism and other informal movements. During this period and until 2003, he practiced several trades in the renovation and decoration of apartments, interior architecture, cinema sets, copying and teaching drawing.
