La exposición estará abierta al público hasta el 16 de agosto, con visitas guiadas de un máximo de 10 personas por grupo.
El Ministerio de Cultura inauguró la exposición titulada “Momentos estelares de la Bienal”, una selección de obras que muestran una panorámica del arte dominicano, desde la década de los cuarenta hasta la actualidad.
La exhibición, que tiene lugar en la Galería de Arte Ramón Oviedo, ubicada en la sede del Ministerio de Cultura, estará abierta al público hasta el 16 de agosto del presente año.

Se trata de una muestra retrospectiva compuesta por obras paradigmáticas de destacados artistas que han sido galardonadas en distintas ediciones de la Bienal de Artes Visuales, desde su creación en el año 1942.
La selección, realizada por un jurado especializado, reúne obras que representan en su conjunto el lenguaje esencial del arte dominicano desde mediados del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Estas obras emblemáticas encarnan momentos estelares y representativos de la historia de las bienales de artes visuales en distintas categorías.
Los visitantes de esta magnífica exposición podrán disfrutar de diferentes manifestaciones artísticas, ya que en ella se dan cita la pintura, la escultura, el dibujo, el video y la fotografía, en sus diferentes técnicas expresivas.
El acto inaugural estuvo encabezado por la ministra de Cultura, Carmen Heredia, quien estuvo acompañada por el viceministro de Patrimonio Cultural, Gamal Michelén, y Federico Fondeur, director del Museo de Arte Moderno.
En sus palabras centrales, la ministra Heredia expresó su satisfacción por dar la bienvenida a esta singular exposición, que pretende ser un homenaje del Ministerio de Cultura a grandes maestros del arte contemporáneo de la República Dominicana.
“Como parte de la política de promoción, difusión y valoración de las artes visuales de nuestro país, nos propusimos como meta dinamizar el panorama del arte en general, así como poner en valor obras y figuras que nos han prestigiado con su talento y creatividad”, destacó la ministra.
Asimismo, la funcionaria subrayó que de este modo “contribuimos a mantener vivo y erguido el legado que nuestros artistas plásticos han dejado en el arte nacional, desde la perspectiva de la identidad, el color, las líneas, las formas, la composición y el lenguaje de sus actores y protagonistas vitales; y todo ello gracias a su imaginación e ingenio”.
En el acto estuvieron presentes los viceministros Fernando Antonio Cruz (Bonny Cepeda), de Descentralización y Coordinación Territorial, y José Luis Pérez, de Desarrollo, Innovación e Investigación Cultural del Ministerio de Cultura, así como destacadas personalidades del ámbito artístico y cultural del país.
La Galería de Arte Ramón Oviedo es un espacio enfocado en proyectar el talento y la creatividad de los artistas plásticos, como una forma de impulsar el arte y la cultura en nuestro país.

The Ministry of Culture inaugurated the exhibition entitled "Stellar Moments of the Biennial", a selection of works that show an overview of Dominican art, from the 1940s to the present day.
The exhibition, which takes place at the Ramón Oviedo Art Gallery, located at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, will be open to the public until August 16 of this year.
It is a retrospective exhibition composed of paradigmatic works by prominent artists that have been awarded in different editions of the Visual Arts Biennial, since its creation in 1942.
The selection, made by a specialized jury, brings together works that together represent the essential language of Dominican art from the mid-20th century to the present. These iconic works embody stellar and representative moments in the history of visual arts biennials in different categories.
Visitors to this magnificent exhibition will be able to enjoy different artistic manifestations, since it brings together painting, sculpture, drawing, video and photography, in their different expressive techniques.
The opening ceremony was led by the Minister of Culture, Carmen Heredia, who was accompanied by the Vice Minister of Cultural Heritage, Gamal Michelén, and Federico Fondeur, director of the Museum of Modern Art.
In her central words, Minister Heredia expressed her satisfaction at welcoming this unique exhibition, which aims to be a tribute from the Ministry of Culture to great masters of contemporary art from the Dominican Republic.
"As part of the policy of promotion, dissemination and appreciation of the visual arts of our country, we set ourselves the goal of invigorating the art scene in general, as well as highlighting works and figures that have given us prestige with their talent and creativity" , stressed the minister.
Likewise, the official stressed that in this way “we contribute to keep alive and upright the legacy that our plastic artists have left in national art, from the perspective of identity, color, lines, shapes, composition and language. of its vital actors and protagonists; and all this thanks to his imagination and ingenuity ”.
