La humanidad ha enfrentado tiempos difíciles, cargados de tristezas, incertidumbres e irreparables pérdidas humanas. La tierra gira alrededor del sol, como de costumbre, lo que supone una distancia de 365 días; pero esta vez ha sido un tiempo de total cambio (de hábitos, de mentalidad), y de enseñanzas que nos han llevado a buscar soluciones dentro de esta gran conmoción.
En estos tiempos de pandemia, hemos reflexionado profundamente sobre los procesos existenciales, los lenguajes artísticos y las nuevas formas de afrontar el presente y el porvenir que nos avecina. La dedicación y la tenacidad han sido determinantes para presentar una propuesta cultural viva, con un enfoque que valora nuestra identidad y que se inserta como referente latinoamericano. Los textos, tanto en español como en inglés, han permitido aumentar cuantitativamente los seguidores y abarcar mayor espacio territorial.
Para el equipo de OCA|News digital ha constituido todo un reto, y nos complace enormemente la cantidad de lectores que se han registrado a nuestro portal web, especialmente personas que aman el arte y la cultura como nosotros, lo que nos estimula a mantener el estándar de calidad y continuar trabajando para seguir siendo el portal de las artes visuales más importante del país y el hemisferio caribeño. Nuestro newsletter mensual ha sido una herramienta magnífica de mercado. Con este número 11, sellamos el 2020, esperando que en el próximo año podamos continuar con la edición impresa de OCA|News.
Queremos agradecer a nuestros colaboradores, amigos, artistas, críticos, historiadores, a la prensa, seguidores y miembros de nuestra página por su acogida, ustedes lo han hecho posible. Sólo a través de la cultura y la educación se puede construir un mejor espacio para vivir, siendo conscientes de quiénes somos y hacia dónde vamos, y con la claridad y la conciencia de saber que lo haremos mejor en el 2021.
No podemos dejar pasar la ocasión para dar acogida a ese espíritu de la Navidad que nos mantiene unidos a pesar de las dificultades. Nuestros mejores deseos de salud, paz y amor para todos. Desde nuestros corazones, les invitamos a continuar reflexionando sobre las condiciones actuales que imperan en el mundo, donde se necesita pensar en el bien de los demás para el correcto control de la salud y la seguridad social. Christmas and New Year 2021, serve as a reflection to elevate the triumph of the human spirit of the country.
Humanity has faced difficult times, fraught with sadness, uncertainties and irreparable human losses. The earth revolves around the sun, as usual, which is a distance of 365 days; But this time it has been a time of total change (of habits, of mentality), and of teachings that have led us to seek solutions within this great upheaval.
In these times of pandemic, we have deeply reflected on existential processes, artistic languages and new ways of facing the present and the future that lies ahead. Dedication and tenacity have been decisive in presenting a lively cultural proposal, with an approach that values our identity and that is inserted as a Latin American benchmark. The texts, both in Spanish and English, have made it possible to quantitatively increase the followers and cover a greater territorial space.
For the OCA | Digital News team it has been a challenge, and we are very pleased with the number of readers who have registered to our web portal, especially people who love art and culture like us, which encourages us to maintain the quality standard and continue working to continue being the most important portal for the visual arts in the country and the Caribbean hemisphere. Our monthly newsletter has been a great marketing tool. With this issue 11, we seal 2020, hoping that next year we can continue with the print edition of OCA | News.
We want to thank our collaborators, friends, artists, critics, historians, the press, followers and members of our page for their welcome, you have made it possible. Only through culture and education can we build a better space to live, being aware of who we are and where we are going, and with the clarity and awareness of knowing that we will do better in 2021.
We cannot miss the occasion to welcome that spirit of Christmas that keeps us united despite difficulties. Our best wishes for health, peace and love to all. From our hearts, we invite you to continue reflecting on the current conditions that prevail in the world, where it is necessary to think about the good of others for the correct control of health and social security.
