Amaya Salazar entiende esto. Siempre lo ha entendido y lo ha plasmado en sus obras que celebran la ternura de una madre, la camaradería entre las mujeres, la unión familiar, los destellos de luz, la perfección de la naturaleza, el cromatismo infinito del mundo, entre otras cosas. Hoy cuando una vez más, el arte se empieza a celebrar en República Dominicana, Amaya se lanza a celebrar la vida con esta exposición titulada “Oda a la Vida.”
Amaya presenta cuadros, esculturas y dibujos que nos recuerdan de todo lo hermoso que existe. En estos cuadros, los personajes se fusionan más con la luz y el paisaje que en sus obras pasadas. Juegan con la abstracción y se funden con el follaje convirtiéndose en un elemento más de la naturaleza.
Los paisajes cuando antes conocíamos la palmera y el follaje caribeño hoy son mas indefinidos, son formas geométricas, redes y líneas negras que se unen en total perfección creando un expresionismo surreal, un lenguaje exclusivo de Amaya Salazar, ese que nos sigue transportando a mundos fantásticos donde reina la luz, donde el tiempo se paraliza en un momento de total plenitud.
Sus esculturas también se transforman, evolucionan en su material y en su forma. Cuando antes el volumen era gran parte de las esculturas, hoy son líneas y el juego entre los espacios negativos y positivos que crean formas y rinden homenaje a la naturaleza.
“Oda a la Vida” en el Museo de las Casas Reales le da la bienvenida a un nuevo ciclo de arte. En este espacio con tanta historia, donde se han celebrados numerosas actividades culturales, Amaya, nos da esperanza con su “Oda a la Vida.”

Life is beautiful, life must be celebrated. Humanity has always had moments of adversity, wars, disease and pandemic, devastation ... but life, life is a privilege.
Amaya Salazar understands this. She has always understood it and has captured it in her works that celebrate the tenderness of a mother, the camaraderie between women, the family union, the flashes of light, the perfection of nature, the infinite chromaticism of the world, among other things. Today when once again, art begins to be celebrated in the Dominican Republic, Amaya launches to celebrate life with this exhibition entitled "Ode to Life."
Amaya presents paintings, sculptures and drawings that remind us of everything beautiful that exists. In these paintings, the characters merge more with the light and the landscape than in her past works. They play with abstraction and blend with the foliage, becoming one more element of nature.
The landscapes when before we recognized the palm tree and the Caribbean foliage, today are more indefinite, they are geometric shapes, networks and black lines that come together in total perfection creating a surreal expressionism, an exclusive language of Amaya Salazar, the one that continues to transport us to fantastic worlds where light reigns, where time is paralyzed in a moment of total plenitude.
Her sculptures also transform, evolve in their material and in their form. When before the volume was a large part of the sculptures, today they are lines and the interplay between negative and positive spaces that create forms and pay homage to nature.
"Ode to Life" at the Museo de las Casas Reales welcomes you to a new art cycle. In this space with so much history, where numerous cultural activities have been held, Amaya gives us hope with her "Ode to Life."
