Ossaye Casa de Arte es solidaria con instituciones, fundaciones de arte, eventos, mecenas, coleccionismo, historia, por identificarse con los temas culturales que estas actividades representan, al tiempo de ser nosotros también ser fundación de arte y medio de comunicación de este sector. Creemos que esta actividad podría en parte ayudar al sector de arte dominicano y por consiguiente a la cultura que apoyamos.
Es importante destacar que este es un proyecto independiente de "La Fundación Ama Amoedo" en el cual OCA no participa, solo les brindamos apoyo con esta publicación. La Fundación Ama Amoedo anuncia la convocatoria de las Becas Fundación Ama Amoedo. Con el objetivo de brindar recursos y oportunidades para el fortalecimiento del ecosistema del arte y sus instituciones, se otorgarán 10 becas de 10.000 dólares en cuatro categorías: Artistas, Arte y Compromiso social, Organizaciones y Publicaciones. Se otorgarán 4 becas para Artistas y 2 becas respectivamente para las restantes tres categorías. Se recibirán aplicaciones entre el 27 de marzo y el 15 de mayo del 2023. Podrán aplicar artistas cómo así también colectivos artísticos, organizaciones sin fines de lucro, asociaciones, instituciones y fundaciones que posean una conexión significativa con América Latina, sea por nacionalidad, herencia cultural y/o sitio donde se realizará el proyecto presentado. En la página web de la Fundación Ama Amoedo se encuentran las bases y condiciones y el formulario de aplicación, disponibles en español, portugués e inglés. El jurado está compuesto por tres curadores externos y un representante de la Fundación Ama Amoedo: Sonia Becce (Curadora independiente, Argentina), Marina Reyes Franco (Curadora Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Puerto Rico), Yudi Rafael (Curador e investigador independiente, Brasil) y Verónica Flom (Directora, Fundación Ama Amoedo).
Artistas
Las Becas Fundación Ama Amoedo de Artistas están destinadas a artistas y/o colectivos artísticos cuyas prácticas estén abocadas a las artes visuales. Se aceptarán propuestas específicas de investigación o creación artística, tales como: producción de obra o exhibiciones que, en primera instancia, no estén asociados a espacios comerciales, desarrollo de un proyecto, archivo y preservación de su propio trabajo, entre otros ejemplos. Dos de las cuatro becas se destinarán a artistas de Argentina y Uruguay.
Arte y Compromiso social
Las Becas Fundación Ama Amoedo de Arte y Compromiso Social están destinadas a apoyar iniciativas específicas que, a través de las artes, contribuyan a generar un impacto positivo en la sociedad. Se aceptarán proyectos que utilicen la práctica artística para promover la educación, la inclusión social y la puesta en valor de la comunidad con el objetivo de acompañar prácticas sociales y colaborativas. Están dirigidas a artistas, fundaciones, cooperativas sin fines de lucro, colectivos, asociaciones, entre otros.
Organizaciones
Las Becas Fundación Ama Amoedo de Organizaciones están destinadas a apoyar proyectos específicos de instituciones u organizaciones sin fines de lucro orientadas a promover, preservar y difundir el trabajo de artistas latinoamericanos. Se aceptarán iniciativas que contribuyan directamente con el ecosistema del arte, tales como archivos, programas públicos, intercambios culturales, entre otros.
Publicaciones
Las Becas Fundación Ama Amoedo de Publicaciones están destinadas a contribuir con publicaciones de arte y/o de artistas latinoamericanos. Podrán aplicar entidades artísticas sin fines de lucro, individuos y editoriales de pequeña y mediana escala. Se otorgarán becas a proyectos editoriales concretos, con un plazo máximo de realización de 2 años a partir de la recepción de la beca.
Sobre Fundación Ama Amoedo
La Fundación Ama Amoedo es una organización sin fines de lucro concebida con la misión de crear un impacto duradero en el ecosistema del arte contemporáneo latinoamericano, cuyo objetivo es fomentar la presencia de artistas de la región y amplificar su visibilidad en la escena artística global. Con sede en Uruguay, la Fundación Ama Amoedo se creó en 2021 para formalizar los apoyos que Amoedo ha estado realizando de manera independiente durante más de veinte años como filántropa, mecenas y coleccionista. Ossaye Casa de Arte is in solidarity with institutions, art foundations, events, patrons, collecting, history, for identifying with the cultural issues that these activities represent, at the same time that we are also an art foundation and means of communication in this sector. We believe that this activity could in part help the Dominican art sector and therefore the culture we support.

The Ama Amoedo Foundation announces the call for the Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarships. With the aim of providing resources and opportunities to strengthen the art ecosystem and its institutions, 10 scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded in four categories: Artists, Art and Social Commitment, Organizations, and Publications. 4 scholarships will be awarded for Artists and 2 scholarships respectively for the remaining three categories. Artists
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarships for Artists are intended for artists and/or artistic groups whose practices are focused on the visual arts. Specific research or artistic creation proposals will be accepted, such as: production of work or exhibitions that, in the first instance, are not associated with commercial spaces, development of a project, archiving and preservation of their own work, among other examples. Two of the four scholarships will go to artists from Argentina and Uruguay.
Art and Social Commitment
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarships for Art and Social Commitment are intended to support specific initiatives that, through the arts, contribute to generating a positive impact on society. Projects that use artistic practice to promote education, social inclusion and enhancement of the community with the aim of accompanying social and collaborative practices will be accepted. They are aimed at artists, foundations, non-profit cooperatives, groups, associations, among others.

The Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarships for Organizations are intended to support specific projects of institutions or non-profit organizations aimed at promoting, preserving and disseminating the work of Latin American artists. Initiatives that directly contribute to the art ecosystem, such as archives, public programs, cultural exchanges, among others, will be accepted.
Publications
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Scholarships for Publications are intended to contribute to art publications and/or Latin American artists. Non-profit artistic entities, individuals and small and medium-sized publishers may apply. Scholarships will be awarded for specific editorial projects, with a maximum completion period of 2 years from the receipt of the scholarship.
About Ama Amoedo Foundation
The Ama Amoedo Foundation is a non-profit organization conceived with the mission of creating a lasting impact in the Latin American contemporary art ecosystem, whose objective is to foster the presence of artists from the region and amplify their visibility on the global art scene. Based in Uruguay, the Ama Amoedo Foundation was created in 2021 to formalize the support that Amoedo has been making independently for more than twenty years as a philanthropist, patron and collector. With a special focus on the scenes in Argentina and Uruguay, the Foundation offers artists and cultural agents different initiatives to support their practices, such as scholarships, programs and artistic residencies in order to promote various looks and speeches.
