Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. - El Ministerio de Cultura (MINC) y el Comité Organizador informaron que por motivo de la restauración del Museo de Arte Moderno (MAM) y como respuesta a la solicitud de un gran número de artistas, fue extendido el plazo de recepción de obras y documentos para participar en la 29ª Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales, hasta el viernes 30 de noviembre, a las 5:00 de la tarde, del año en curso.
Los interesados en participar en la 29ª Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales deberán entregar sus obras y documentos en los centros de acopios que serán abiertos en las provincias donde se realizaron los encuentros “Hacia la 29ª Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales”, y en el Museo de Arte Moderno, hasta el viernes 30 de noviembre, en horario de lunes a viernes, de 9:00 de la mañana a 5:00 de la tarde.
La Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales es un certamen abierto a la participación de los c
iudadanos dominicanos, mayores de 18 años, residentes o no en el país, así como a los extranjeros legales en la República Dominicana por un mínimo de cinco años. Dicho evento consiste en una amplia exposición central en los espacios del Museo de Arte Moderno (MAM), basada en las obras seleccionadas por un jurado, así como una muestra de los artistas invitados especiales.
Los principales objetivos de la bienal son: estimular, mostrar, evaluar, valorar y proyectar el desarrollo de las artes visuales dominicanas en la actualidad, subrayando la importancia de propiciar la creatividad, la diversidad de medios y lenguajes estéticos, y la educación en beneficio del desarrollo artístico y cultural de la sociedad dominicana.

The National Biennial of Visual Arts is an open competition for the participation of Dominican citizens, over 18 years old, residents or not in the country, as well as legal foreigners in the Dominican Republic for a minimum of five years. This event consists of a broad central exhibition in the spaces of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), based on the works selected by a jury, as well as a sample of the special guest artists.
The main objectives of the biennial are: to stimulate, show, evaluate, evaluate and project the development of the Dominican visual arts at present, underlining the importance of promoting creativity, the diversity of aesthetic media and languages, and education for the benefit of the artistic and cultural development of Dominican society.
